Pre-Order Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with A Grain of Sugar Bakery, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

Orders, Payments & Taxes

1. A Grain of Sugar Bakery operates primarily on a pre-order/presale basis. All orders must be placed within the designated ordering period and are subject to product availability and order capacity.

2. Full payment is required at the time the order is placed. Orders are not confirmed until payment has been received in full.

3. Because ingredients, preparation, and production are planned according to confirmed pre-orders, unpaid orders will not be reserved, prepared, or fulfilled.

4. Applicable taxes, when required, will be calculated and collected at checkout.

5. Customers are responsible for reviewing their order, including product selections, quantities, pickup date, and any approved customization, before completing payment.

Cancellations & Refunds

1. Because A Grain of Sugar Bakery purchases, prepares, and schedules production based on confirmed pre-orders, all sales are final once the applicable cancellation deadline has passed.

2. Cancellation requests made before production or preparation has begun may be eligible for a refund at the discretion of A Grain of Sugar Bakery.

3. Once preparation or production for an order has begun, the order is non-refundable, except where otherwise stated below.

4. Orders that are not picked up during the designated pickup period will not automatically qualify for a refund. However, we understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances outside of a customer's control can occur. In these situations, a refund or other reasonable accommodation may be provided at the discretion of A Grain of Sugar Bakery. Please contact us as soon as possible by text at 724-988-8046 or by email at customerservice@agrainofsugarbakery.com so we can review the situation.

5. If A Grain of Sugar Bakery must cancel an order due to circumstances within our control, the customer will receive a full refund for the affected order.

   In the event of severe weather, unsafe road conditions, or other weather-related circumstances outside of our control, A Grain of Sugar Bakery will communicate with customers regarding any changes to the scheduled pickup. Depending on the circumstances, we may reschedule pickup to a safer date or time or issue a full refund if the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled.

   The safety of our customers and our bakery will be considered when determining whether scheduled pickups should proceed.

Changes to Orders

1. Requests to modify an order must be submitted before the pre-order period closes.

2. Requested changes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

3. Once the pre-order period has closed, no changes, substitutions, additions, or reductions are guaranteed, as ingredients and production quantities may have already been scheduled.

4. Additional products requested after the ordering period closes may require a separate order and will only be accepted if production capacity and inventory allow.

Pickup

1. Customers are responsible for picking up their orders on the scheduled pickup date and during the designated pickup window selected or provided at the time of ordering.

2. Customers should contact A Grain of Sugar Bakery as soon as possible if they anticipate being late for pickup.

3. Orders not picked up during the scheduled pickup period may be considered abandoned unless alternate arrangements have been approved by A Grain of Sugar Bakery.

4. Due to the perishable nature of bakery products, refunds will not normally be issued for orders that are not picked up, except for qualifying circumstances described in the Cancellations & Refunds section above.

Product Care & Liability

1. A Grain of Sugar Bakery is responsible for the proper preparation, handling, and packaging of products until they are transferred to the customer or the customer's designated representative.

2. Once an order has been picked up, A Grain of Sugar Bakery is not responsible for damage or deterioration resulting from improper transportation, handling, storage, temperature exposure, or actions of individuals not employed by A Grain of Sugar Bakery.

3. Customers are responsible for following any storage, refrigeration, reheating, or serving instructions provided with their order.

Allergy & Dietary Information

1. Products from A Grain of Sugar Bakery may contain or come into contact with common food allergens, including wheat, eggs, milk/dairy, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts.

2. Products are prepared in a kitchen where these and other allergens may be present. Cross-contact cannot be guaranteed to be prevented.

3. A Grain of Sugar Bakery is currently unable to guarantee products as allergen-free and therefore cannot safely accommodate customers with severe food allergies.

4. Customers are responsible for communicating relevant allergen information to anyone who will consume products purchased from A Grain of Sugar Bakery.

5. Any dietary or ingredient questions should be submitted before placing an order.

Product Appearance

Because A Grain of Sugar Bakery products are handmade, slight variations in size, shape, color, decoration, and appearance may occur. These natural variations do not constitute a product defect and will not qualify an order for a refund.

Photography & Content

A Grain of Sugar Bakery reserves the right to photograph or record bakery products for use on its website, social media accounts, menus, advertisements, portfolio, and other promotional materials.

Customer names, personal information, photographs of customers, or other identifying details will not be used for promotional purposes without permission.

Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an order and completing payment, the customer confirms that they have reviewed their order information and have read, understood, and agreed to the A Grain of Sugar Bakery Pre-Order Terms & Conditions.

Payment for an order constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

A Grain of Sugar Bakery offers foods made and sold under the laws and rules that apply to its operation. Available products, sales locations, delivery areas, and shipping destinations may be limited by those rules. Products are intended for the end customer and may not be resold unless A Grain of Sugar Bakery expressly agrees and the resale is lawful.

Please read the product label and any required cottage-food disclosure provided with your order. Product descriptions and photographs are provided to help you choose, but handmade items may have reasonable differences in color, decoration, size, or appearance.

Ingredient and major-allergen information is provided on the product label or with the product as required by applicable law. Products may be prepared or packaged in a home or shared kitchen where allergens are present. Unless A Grain of Sugar Bakery expressly confirms otherwise in writing, no product is represented as allergen-free, and cross-contact cannot be ruled out.

If you have an allergy, intolerance, or dietary requirement, review the available information and contact A Grain of Sugar Bakery before ordering. You are responsible for deciding whether a product is suitable for you or the intended recipient. Product information is not medical advice.

An order request is not accepted until A Grain of Sugar Bakery confirms it or payment is successfully completed, as indicated during checkout. Products, dates, and quantities remain subject to availability. A Grain of Sugar Bakery may decline or cancel an order because of an error, unavailable ingredients or capacity, suspected fraud, an unsafe or unlawful request, or a fulfillment restriction. If A Grain of Sugar Bakery cancels a paid order, the amount charged for the canceled portion will be refunded.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact, customization, and fulfillment information and for reviewing the order before submission.

Prices for A Grain of Sugar Bakery products are displayed on our website and are subject to change. The price displayed at the time an order is placed and payment is completed will be the price honored for that order. Full payment is required at the time of ordering, and an order is not confirmed until payment has been successfully received. We do not hold or reserve products without payment. The total amount due will be displayed at checkout and will include the selected products, any applicable taxes or fees, and any discounts or promotional offers applied to the order.

Payments are securely processed through the payment provider available at checkout. By submitting an order, the customer authorizes the payment provider to charge the selected payment method for the full amount displayed at checkout. If a payment is declined, incomplete, cancelled, or otherwise unsuccessful, the order will not be considered confirmed and products will not be reserved. Any approved refunds will be issued in accordance with our Cancellations & Refunds Policy and, when applicable, returned through the original payment method.

Available fulfillment methods, locations, windows, charges, and destination limits are shown during checkout or in the order confirmation. Times are estimates unless A Grain of Sugar Bakery expressly confirms a guaranteed time. You are responsible for providing a usable address, being available during the agreed window, and following storage, transport, reheating, and food-safety instructions after receiving the order.

If A Grain of Sugar Bakery offers a subscription, the frequency, products or benefits, recurring price, pickup or delivery method, and any minimum term will be shown before purchase. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until cancellation.

You may cancel future renewals using the account or contact method provided with the subscription. Cancellation does not automatically refund a charge already processed or an order already prepared, except when required by law or stated in the subscription offer.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in information secure and for activity under the account. Contact the business if you believe the account has been used without permission.

You agree to receive electronic order records and transactional communications at the contact information you provide. Marketing email or text messages require the consent described when you sign up and can be stopped using the unsubscribe or opt-out instructions in the message.

A Grain of Sugar Bakery takes pride in the quality and care of our products and wants our customers to be satisfied with their orders. We are responsible for the proper preparation, handling, and packaging of our products until the order is picked up by the customer or their designated representative. Once an order has been picked up, A Grain of Sugar Bakery is not responsible for problems resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer, failure to pick up an order during the scheduled pickup period, improper transportation, handling, storage, refrigeration, reheating or serving, damage occurring after the order leaves our possession, unauthorized resale or redistribution, or circumstances outside of our reasonable control.

If you believe your order is incorrect, damaged before pickup, missing an item, or otherwise does not meet your confirmed order specifications, please contact us as soon as possible by text at 724-988-8046 or email at agrainofsugarbakery@gmail.com so we have an opportunity to review and resolve the concern. Photos of the product may be requested to help us evaluate the issue. When a concern is determined to be the responsibility of A Grain of Sugar Bakery, an appropriate resolution may include a replacement, store credit, partial refund, or full refund, depending on the circumstances. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law; if any provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
